Foundation releases over $97,000 in October

The McPherson County Community Foundation and the Moundridge Foundation have announced their grant recipients for October 2024. This cycle the Foundation released over $97,000 to organizations across the county. These distributions came from four different community funds.

This cycle also includes the addition of grants released through Mastermind McPherson County. Grants from this fund must address one of the key priorities found in the Mastermind McPherson County survey. Priorities differed depending on what community was addressed in the grant.

McPherson Police Department – 2024 Police Appreciation Project and Event – $3,000

Boy Scouts of America – McPherson County  Investment in  Character – $10,000

City of Lindsborg Rec Department – Sundstrom Showtimes – $2,500

Lindsborg Cemetery Company – Elmwood Cemetery Equipment – $3,250

City of Lindsborg Recreation Department – Sidewalk at Swensson Park – $5,000

Inman Community Foundation Grant Recipients:

Inman Food Pantry – Shelving – $750

Inman Parks Beatification – Children’s slide on hill – $2,000

Inman High School Trap Team -Inman High School Trap Team – $250

Mastermind McPherson County Grant Recipients:

Canton-Galva – Canton-Galva site Council – $9,500 Matching

MIDC – Industrial Recruitment Readiness Analysis – $10,000

McPherson County Health Department – Reproductive Freedom: Expanding Access to Long-Acting Reversible Contraception – $10,000

McPherson Main Street – Umbrellas on the Plaza – $3,100

Windom Lions Club – Windom Park Upgrades: Bathroom and Playground Enhancements – $10,000

Offender/Victim Ministries – McPherson County Truancy Prevention Project – $8,100

Inman Recreation – Inman After School Program – $5,000 Matching

City of Lindsborg Recreation Department – Sidewalk at Swensson Park – $5,000

Moundridge Community Foundation Grant Recipients:
