Last week we got the chance to stop by McPherson College and check in on the yearly McPherson Highschool Debate camp. The cost of hosting the camp was offset in part to funding from the Edwin R. Stucky Debate Enhancement Fund.
The camp serves as an important starting point for the debate season, especially for new members of the program. Aaron Schopper, Head Coach of McPherson High Debate Team, uses the opportunity to discuss the common topics that his students are likely to see throughout the year. Last year the Bullpups finished 14-0 and secured their second straight state championship.
