11 Apr Foundation to release $418,000 In Apr.
The McPherson County Community Foundation (MCCF) has announced their grant recipients for Apr. This cycle the Foundation released over $418,000 to organizations across the county. These distributions came from four different community funds, including the yearly grants over $10,000 from the David J. Nutt Fund for Lindsborg.
The David J. Nutt Fund, started from the estate of the former Lindsborg resident, has released over 1.5 million dollars since its founding in 2017 and makes funding decisions on grants over $10,000 once a year. Nutt acknowledged that the Lindsborg community raised him and left portions of his estate with multiple entities in the community. His fund at the Foundation is a permanent resource that community organizations can utilize to improve the lives of Lindsborg residents.
Last year the fund was able to contribute to the recent renovation of the Troy D. Miller Field (Check out photos from the grand opening here).
This cycle also brings the first grant from the Marquette Community Foundation that was established in 2023. The first grant for the organization will go to funding camera equipment at Riverview estates.
